almost 11 years ago when austin was born we were so excited to have a boy. we didn't find out what he was...he could have been named Payten. 2 years later when we found out baby #2 was a boy we were thrilled. austin would have a friend and GREAT...no new clothes to buy (since we had no money:). BUT...when they told me that my next baby was a GIRL...i smiled for months. i think it was more shock and relief than anything. when mcCall was born my world changed. was like someone threw color on a black and white world. then to have two more girls...WOW. don't get me wrong...i love my boys to death. they are so much fun and at their current ages they are way easier than the girls. but how much do i love pink. mcCall and hayden are both extremely girly. they love to sing and dance and play princess pretend. they love to get dressed up and don't mind if i give them poofy hairdos with large bows. they also are emotional, easily frustrated and they can throw monster temper tantrums. i am so grateful for them. i am trying to cherish every moment i have with them. they are growing up way too fast (but sometimes not fast enough). being a mother to girls is truly a blessing. i love my girls.

What a cute post, Cath. I love how you said having girls was like throwing color on a black and white world. I love your girls too! Miss them.
your girls are adorable. i am going to miss when hayden grows out of her high pitched voice.
We had so much fun with McCall and Hayden on Saturday. The kids all loved the treasure hunt in the Botanical garden, picnic in Golden Gate park, hiking to Point Bonita, and playing on the beach. They were such sweethearts all day. Makayla and James sure loved being with them.
