On the 4th of July we talked the kids into skipping the fireworks in exchange for ice cream, a movie and a promise that we would see fireworks in Magrath (much better traffic). So after the long day we headed back into town. There was an outdoor concert before so the kids played at the park. The fireworks were great and it was fun to see old friends and family.

After the parade we came home for a yummy grandma dinner. Uncle Dares and Aunt Deb had prepared a mini olympics for the kids. It was so much fun and the kids (and adults) had a blast.

We had to go to the races. The kids had a fun time but I don't think any of them won. Parker was so upset because he tripped right when they said "go" and he fell behind. He is competitive.

Another great parade this year. I rode on my 20 year high school float so I missed most of it. McCall and Avery dressed in McCall's dance outfits and rode a bike in the parade. They just wanted to throw candy. It was not fun for them because the people on the horses kept telling them they were going too slow. Here are some pics that Jeremy took.
